Youth Clubs Open Again

Cumann na bhFiann – Youth Club Structure

Cumann na bhFiann is the largest nationwide Irish language youth service. Weekly/fortnightly Irish language youth clubs as well as regional and national events through Irish are its main focus. These services give young people the opportunity to use and improve their spoken Irish outside of the school environment on a social level. Cumann na bhFiann provides opportunities for young people to meet and make friends throughout the country through the medium of Irish.

 

Youth Clubs

Cumann na bhFiann organise a large network of Youth Clubs in local halls all over the country, as well as Virtual Clubs (online). ***All our Clubs will be shut during the school mid-term break (28/10-01/11/2024)***

Who are the Clubs aimed at? The Clubs are aimed at young people in the 10-18 age group.

When do they take place? They take place on a weekly basis from September until the Easter break.

Which age group attend the Clubs? There are two age groups: ‘Óg’ geared towards any primary school children in the 10 – 13 age group, and ‘Sean’ geared towards any secondary school students in the 13-18 age group.

How much do the Clubs cost? There is an annual membership fee of €40 for Cumann na bhFiann. This covers weekly attendance at the local Club, or a Virtual Club, along with a reduction in the cost for attending our trips during the year.

How do I book a place in my local Club? Register on the site or login to book a place in your local club.

Where do the Clubs take place? Please find all relevant up to date information about the Clubs in the list below (this list will be updated regularly).
